Roles, not names, on this page. Who holds each role, as the papers name them, is on My Campus for campus staff who sign in.
What It Is
The Campus Management Department is the backbone of the Lake Turkana campus: everything that is not teaching and not ICT. It runs the water, the power, the kitchen, the shop, the housing, the guest units, the repairs, the security and the transport, and it answers for two things at once: the quality of campus life, a safe, dignified and reliable place for students, staff and community partners, and financial sustainability, turning the services that can earn (hospitality, the Eco Market, rentals, food) into income that lessens the dependence on donors. It belongs to Startup Lions Assets Kenya and answers to the Campus Administration Board.

Who leads it. Every lead is to be appointed in the Blueprint of September 2025; the ten branches are in the table below, level with each other.
Who Leads It
- The Senior Campus Manager, on a performance-based contract, with incentives tied to the quality of campus life and to financial sustainability. The Blueprint looks for someone who has run a larger hotel or safari lodge in Kenya, the nearest match to a remote campus that combines infrastructure, guests, logistics and income. The manager leads every branch, mentors the assistants and the leads, aligns with the Operations Director and the Finance Director, and holds one vote on the campus board. The manager is not on the SGB, prepares its campus proposals and can be invited as a guest, and must answer the agenda points the Safeguarding, Gender and Quality Committee raises.
- At least two Management Assistants, each coordinating several branches day to day, troubleshooting and reporting, and deputising when the manager is away.
- A lead for each branch, responsible for daily operations with a team of skilled staff, reporting to the manager or to an assistant.
- Supervision comes jointly from the Operations Director, the Finance Director and the Campus Administration Board, which meets every two weeks.

The Blueprint of September 2025 writes every branch as a standard chapter: its role and leadership, its challenges, the interventions proposed with cost, urgency and impact, and milestones. Three chapters, Security, Transport and the ICT building, are marked to be done. Upkeep, cleaning and beautification, sits with Maintenance in the Blueprint and as its own team in the December 2025 structure.
Housing and Guest Register
A register of the rooms, who is in them and for how long, for the student and staff housing and for the guest units, is planned here, with the finance side connected to Odoo, which the campus already uses for stock and payments. It is not built yet. What it should track, who keeps it and what Odoo needs from it are still to be settled; this section holds the place. Which areas should feed Odoo and Asha directly is noted on Dira and Darasa.

The Campus Functions has the department beside the others; The Structure shows how it is governed. The Campus Management Department Strategic and Operational Blueprint 2025 to 2030, version 09, September 2025, is the source for this page and for every branch's plan.
Written on 25 October 2026 from the Blueprint of September 2025 and the organisational structure of December 2025. Every lead is "to be appointed" in the Blueprint; whether any has been since is not recorded. The figures the Blueprint gives for costs, revenues and salaries are not on this page.
